Mithral Hall is a dwarven stronghold which is located in the North, beneath the Spine of the World mountains.
The location plays a central role in several novels written by the American author R. A. Salvatore, particularly those featuring the drow ranger Drizzt Do’Urden and his group of friends, who are collectively known as the Companions of the Hall.
Originally, Mithral Hall was a bustling center of dwarven craftsmanship and mining, known for its vast deposits of mithral — a highly prized, lightweight, and strong metal that is ideal for crafting armor.
The hall was lost to the dwarves for centuries and was only reclaimed through the efforts of Bruenor Battlehammer, who is another character in Salvatore’s novels.
